Blended care for mental health: HelloBetter and Generali Health Solutions launch innovative care partnership
- Three experienced providers in the field of mental health are working together to provide early and effective help to people suffering from mental health issues: the online therapy platform HelloBetter, PREVENT.ON (with a network of over 1,300 psychotherapists and doctors), and Generali Health Solutions, a provider of effective health programmes.
- The aim is to offer employees and policyholders of Generali Krankenversicherung AG fast and scientifically proven support for depression and anxiety disorders.
- The ‘Mein MentalHealthCoach’ programme offers structured online screening, access to evidence-based online therapy programmes and personal support from psychological professionals – for seamless blended care.
Berlin, 10 July 2025 – HelloBetter, a leading digital mental health company, and Generali Health Solutions are combining their expertise to provide Generali policyholders with fast, scientifically proven access to digital support for depression and anxiety disorders. The new programme, ‘My MentalHealthCoach,’ combines symptom screening, digital therapy programmes and personal coaching, setting a new standard for blended care.
After a short, structured online screening, users of ‘My MentalHealthCoach’ receive an immediate assessment of their mental health. Depending on the result, they can contact a mental health professional directly or start an online training programme. The core components are the online therapy programmes ‘HelloBetter Panic’ and ‘HelloBetter Depression’ developed by HelloBetter.
The online therapy programme ‘HelloBetter Panic’ has been shown in a randomised controlled study to reduce the severity of panic and agoraphobia symptoms by an average of one-third immediately after the end of the programme and by 52% after six months. 91% of participants would recommend the programme to friends. The programme is permanently listed in the BfArM's DiGA directory.
"HelloBetter Depression’ is also a scientifically based online therapy programme that offers those affected low-threshold access to cognitive behavioural therapy. Several randomised controlled studies have shown that the programme demonstrably reduces depressive symptoms. Participants also reported feeling less anxious and more active after completing the programme.
The coaching partner PREVENT.ON is available to provide personal support to Generali policyholders. If necessary, it provides formal diagnoses in video-based consultations and helps those affected navigate the healthcare system.
The cooperation builds on the shared vision of HelloBetter and Generali Health Solutions to provide people in situations of mental distress with the right help as early as possible.
Dr Hanne Horvath, co-founder and CEO of HelloBetter, explains:
"Our vision is to provide immediate access to effective help for all people with mental health issues. In Generali Health Solutions, we have found a partner who shares this vision and also sets the highest standards in terms of quality and user-friendliness. Together, we are creating an offering that seamlessly combines symptom screening, digital, evidence-based therapy and personal feedback.”
Markus Homann, Managing Director at Generali Health Solutions, adds:
"The mental health of our policyholders is our top priority. Through our cooperation with HelloBetter, we offer an evidence-based, low-threshold programme that provides targeted support to those affected – regardless of whether they are already experiencing initial symptoms or have been diagnosed. We are convinced that “My MentalHealthCoach” will make an important contribution to the sustainable improvement of care."
